um i dont undertsand your question but CA18DET came in Silvia's and 180sx's then it was replaced by the SR20DET so it should fit right in with a coupe or hatch hell even an s14 and s15

He wants to know if the coupe with the CA will handle differently than the hatchback since the coupe is what the CA was orignally designed for.

I can't answer this since I've driven neither the hatch or the coupe.

eh thats wrong the ca wasnt made just for the hatch

it was also made for the silvia and the 180sx and silvia are the same cars just one is hatch and the other is trunk so there should be no differance

yes, your car will handle differently, because it is a coupe, and not a hatch, like which you are used to. but the fact that it is a coupe with a CA does not mean it will handle either amazingly great, or completely terrible.

not that differently. drive the coupe with a ca. then throw a 200lb fat chick in your back seat and thats how it will feel if the ca was in the fastback. haha.

The weight difference between a coupe and a hatch is like 50 lbs. The extra weight over the rear wheels helps some, so it's not going to matter that much really.

The coupe is technically more stiff in the rear than the hatch since the coupe doesn't have a large opening over the rear strut towers. Will you notice a difference, probably not.

I know a guy with a black coupe powered by a CA. I took a ride in it and it was quick. He's the only turbo swapped 240 in the area...for now!

i love driving coupes over hatches regardless of the motor. coupes are tighter. but i can cram 968975956 tires in my hatch.
