This thread seems stupid for some reason...no offense...first off it takes a LOT of work to get to those figures. You need proper tuning and the right parts for either swap. Its going to be a lot of dough....

As far as traction goes, just do a 5 lug conversion and put some 10 inch wide wheels back there....if your a drag racer, tub it. Want more weight in the back? The FB can hold lots of spares in the hatch Good luck

wow okay

um 900hp daily ya sure pal.

900hp = about 30k+ engine alone.

why do all the newbs always have to say "skyline RB25det" ?? Does it make it sound cooler???

oh its only 1 "t".

Try doing some research in handling dynamics.

haha Condom heads
If you would SEARCH you would of probably came accross the 2JZ S14 that was on eBay, there is even a thread on here about it.

You really need some hooked on phonics or something because you cant even spell right.

Ex.
Tracktion (traction)
Askini (asking)

Your such a poser and i bet you dont even own a car or know anything about 240's, not to mention a Supra.

Keep reading your little magazines and thinking you know it all...

Wheres a mod, someone close this ****

thank you!

you cant even spell the engine code... how the f*ck do you plan on working on one?

dude, i know you just got flamed like hell, but jesus... can you honestly tell me how putting a 2jz in a 240 would work without incredible design and fabrication knowledge plus a sh!tload of cash? It's common sense here, is putting 700 hp on the ground easy in any car? most of the time that's the challenge once you get into massive power cars... think about it

Ara12345,

While i dislike flaming, the way you introduced the idea of swapping a 2jz into a 240sx just screamed, "extra crispy please"...

Consider the following:

-2jz-GTE's are not cheap motors. Generally: $5500.00.

-It's not exactly easy to locate getrag v160 tranny's either. (putting into consideration the difference between JDM and USDM spec 2jz motors). The search won't take 1 day.

-Aftermarket power add-ons -- the norm for supras being a single turbo upgrade -- will run you another huge chunk of cash. W\ a power goal of 900hp, we're talking 15k as the bare minimum.

I haven't even put into consideration the modifications and custom work required to fit the motor in the 240sx; I'm already at 20k+.

Be rational, not stupid, and contrary to common practice amongst newbies, don't attract flame. G'luck w\ the project.
