You don't need a stand alone for 400hp. A tuned ecu would be a much better choice (calum/nistune etc.)

well ya of course injectors, and a fuel pump too but im surprised that this will get me to 400 whp. See im in the process of planning out a build with a goal of 400whp and like everyone else i want the best bang for my buck. So i'm trying to rule out all the unecessary or less effective mods and just spend my money on the most effective and of course safe hp increasers. I heard that the KA's cylinder head is very restrictive on the exhaust port side, would it be worth porting and polishing the head? and would i be able to hit 400whp without changing cams?

port and polish will help... but that benefits NA guys more than Turbo Ka guys.

may I ask why your goal is 400 hp.... My 214 hp was fun enough. the higher you go, the more volatile the KA will become and lets face it..... even at that range.. its not really affordable. You have to build the engines right and add all the supporting mods. You really cant skimp out on anything.

after 3 ka-t motors.... the failing part each time was ringlands...... you need pistons brother. and you will be squared away with a decent tune.

ps

if you dont plan on racing..... and want a dyno queen.... you can pull things out... but you risk blowing up on the dyno also.

didnt i say i was including pistons? i thought i did... well anyways if i didnt, i am. Pistons, rods, injectors, turbo kit, all that stuff, new belts, head studs, metal gaskets, standalone, and a shop tune, i think i should be ok.... i shouldn't be blowing anything... and 400whp.. just because 300 isn't enough and i have high gforce fantasies lol

ya my plan is to do something similar but with the whole car. I'm currently going to school in boston but im from miami and thats where all my tools and resources are, plus I don't have time to do this car during school. So I'm going to basically have everything decided on , buy all the parts and have them shipped to my miami address before hand with the help of friends, and then during winter i have a 3 week break where im going to put it all together.
