S13 Ka-t engine prep

Ok so i Iam now the proud owner of a 240 sx it has 270 k and has UBER rob knock. so the engine is cominge out and i wanna know what type of internals i need to run it on about 10 psi. can i use new factory internals? Or do i need rods and pistons. im looking to barely tap 300hp at the crank maybe 320 so i can say 300 to the wheels. i am also going to do some port work so the valves are coming out and geting re-lapped to the seats. thas assuming that they arent bent. right now the rebuild list is as such..

Gasket set 130.99
rod bearings. 34.99
main bearing. 48.99
rings 73.99
maybe oil pump

If theres anything else that you think would be needed tell me please
if the rebuild is gonna cost more than 400 im going to go to pick apart and find another engine for it with less miles. lol it hit 270k and just descided to say f you im dieing now.....

check your crank to make sure it is still good. If you spun a bearing, its bad news.

just marks and discoloration on the crank where the bearings bolt up. The bearing will be destroyed.

yeah but I doubt you will get 300 hp reliably.

yeah, you'll know if the bearings are bad when you see them. the first time i saw what a spun bearing looks like, i didn't need anyone to tell me they were bad, i just knew when i say them.

that picture is from my old KA.... the bearing was still functional but the way it looks.. one more hard drift night would have killed it for sure.

Ringlands of failure

you want to swap these if you can

very weak and are the failure of many KA-T's I actually dropped the piston on the floor.. but it was not that much great looking before the fall.

ok what do you all think i should get parts wise on a 400 budget for internals and what kinda of power could i look for out of a t25/t28 turbo setup
o btw pic apart in indy sells 4 cylinder engines for 159 plus a 45 core so i might try that route if all else fails

your looking at about a little over 400 for pistons.

not so nick not so... there are many guys around with stalled builds.. check out the forums.

if you are going to crack the block replace bearing, rods and pistons and along with a good tune.. you will be golden.

if i can find one cheap at a local yard im going to go that route and hope that i can find one that is low miles maybe from a path finder or a xtera like a newer modle cause as of right now i only have 250 cash should my tranny bolt right up to these engines they are the ka 24 de ps this would just to get the car on the road again so i can get a real job so i can build up the ka that is in it now...

i believe the truck engines, or the engines found in the trucks i should say, are not the same as the 240 ka's. they have slight differences and i don't believe they bolt up to the 240 trannys.

i cant find a 240 any where around here there is one and he wants way to much for it and it is the single cam. lol i thought about putting my head on that block but id still spend way to much money but i want the tranny and stuff to so i might as well bye the car and take what i want off of it and leave the shell in his yard cause id do a manual swap at the same time.so id want the engine ecu tranny drive shaft clutch master
lol clutch pedal lines would i need the wiring harness?
things that id want off the car that i dont have lol sunroof and 2 original wheels so i could have 4 matching lol i already have the hatch that was bought bye the previous owner
