Can someone explain this 10mm craze to me. I've only ever gotten a chance to fire the MP5 in 10mm on single, burst and auto. It felt AMAZING and like it'd cause some hurt but it was only at paper targets so there's no real indicator of the damage on it. I'd think a 9mm would be right on par with it, but then again, I don't know.

.22lr is a great caliber for small animals or target practice. you can spend a few hours shooting and only spend $30 or so depending on the brand of ammo you buy. .22mag is considerably more expensive though, i've never fired .22mag rounds because they cost more than the .223 and 9mm ammo i use for target practice.

It's true what they say . . .
A .22 can kill you just like a .45 can . . . but .45s can do it more efficiently . .
I'm thinking, however, that some .22 rimfire would be fun for RunNGun practice . . .
Anyone down for some plinking?

i was at the gunstore doing the NRA class thingy and damn the owner almost got me to buy a Taurus Barretta copy forgot the model name it was 9mm and came with 4 mags 2 10rounds and 2 20 rounds for $440 out the door.
i was real tempted but i didnt go for it since it was too big to conceal every day for my likings.

also about the plinking, a .22 rifle is great for that sort of shooting. i almost wish i would have bought the ruger 10/22 instead of the savage arms model 64 rifle. but only because there are 50 round mags available for it while the only ones i've found for the savage arms hold 10 rounds.

Yeah, I'm hearing good things about the PT92 . . .On BudsGunShop.com all the reviews are pretty high.
I'm going to step up into a Smith and Wesson Sigma .40 or 9mm, depending on how I feel, since they are the same price.
And Smith and Wesson is giving a 50 dollar mail in rebate or 2 free magazines with purchase so . .that might be the way to go

as much as i love my pt92, right now for anyone looking to buy a new gun i'd recommend you at least look into the s&w sw40ve or sw9ve at budsgunshop. $299 and a $50 rebate or 2 free mags rebate from s&w sounds real tempting. so tempting that i almost bought one this weekend. but what i really want is a large caliber revalver, .357mag or .44mag.

LOL! You know . . .there Jesus . . .a revolver is a firearm that requires a COMPLETELY different shooting technique, right?
Not saying that you're not a dead-eye, but even people like myself who shoot near perfect scores every time he hits the range (by USMC standards no less) can pull up "blanks" with a revolver.
Just throwing that out there

other than a with a rifle i still have some trouble with anything farther than 20 yards or so. just becuase i know a thing or two about guns doesn't mean i'm a world class marksman, but that's not going to stop me from trying to get better.
the only thing keeping me from getting something like a s&w .460 or 500 is the price of that caliber ammo. :/
