RB20DET Clips for SALE

1 Attachment(s)
Hey guys,

I have done the RB swap into a 240SX. My car is a 91 with the RB25DET engine. I like helping people out doing the swap as well as making the engines and parts available for those engines.

The RB swap is a little harder than the SR swap, but not by much and they require little modifications to your car that don't cost anything.

I am selling two clips right now for this swap. I just need to get rid of them. With buying a clip comes all of the info on how to do it and what is involved. Here are the specs on the clips (half cuts):

$1800

R31 (with transplanted R32) RB20DET - 220 HP 2.0L Inline 6 with turbo. Comes with Engine, Tranny, ECU, Un-cut Harness, Dash, Gauges etc...
Approx. 40,000 miles

$2100
R31 above + the rear suspension assembly and driveline. (first come first serve on the driveline since I only have 1)

$2250

R32 RB20DET - 220 HP 2.0L Inline 6 with turbo. Comes with Engine, Tranny, ECU, Downpipe, Un-cut Harness, Dash, Gauges etc... Approx. 40,000 miles

$2500
R32 above + rear suspension assembly and driveline. (first come first serve on the driveline since I only have 1)

Pls Check your e-mail

Sent you some info in regards to the R31 engines.
Meant to help, might not have come out like that.

hey

Marc,

Thanks for the heads up. True, the SR can do good things with enough money, but that's the problem....enough money. RB engines don't take much to get that high, and it costs a lot less to do it. As well, you mentioned that you've seen a number of good tuned SR's take a mildy tuned GTR's, point is, they were mildly tuned. Also, GTR's weigh quite a bit more than the 180SX, when you throw the Skyline engine in the 180....you get a lot better results. :naughty:

So how hard would it be to fit an rb26dett into an s14?

NightXCZ77 12-10-2002 09:48 PM

RB26

It's a pretty hard swap due to steering, if you go to a single turbo upgrade on the RB26DETT, it wouldn't be too hard.

What's the steering problem?

suckit 12-10-2002 10:05 PM

Turbo hits the steering shaft proably cause it sits too far back. Also why a big turbo kit from Japan migh not clear a 240 cause it sits too far back where there is no cloumn on a JDM Silvia.

No way around it cept for single turbo conversion? Losing out if it switches to single instead of twin?

AceInHole 12-10-2002 10:42 PM

a lot of the upgrades are to a larger single turbo. in a way, you'd have more to gain than to lose in going to a single turbo.

NightXCZ77 12-10-2002 11:57 PM

...

The second turbo is in the way of the steering column that attaches to your steering rack assembly. The downpipe of this turbo it the main thing in the way. By doing a single turbo upgrade, you move the turbo into the middle of the six exhaust ports so you don't have the problem with the steering column hitting.

So what's the main difference from the rb26dett and the rb25det.. besides twin turbo and the .1 litre difference..

NightXCZ77 12-11-2002 12:06 AM

diff

The difference between the two is one less turbo, .1 L less, .5 higher compression ratio, and a different stroke. Also, the RB26DETT has a large intake manifold with independant throttle bodies, larger injectors, and a better built head.

RB26 = 276 hp
RB25 = 250 hp

So without the twin turbo.. I'd do a single turbo.. and installation would be easy or somwhat easy?

NightXCZ77 12-11-2002 01:47 AM

Exactly....
