My homemade cowl hood

It is by no means finished yet, so it still looks like ***. Got a bit warped in spots from spot welding the supports underneath. In my quest for a stiffer & better fitting hood I just said f*** it & decided to do this. The hood doesnt flex at all now.
I know alot may not like it but hey, it's my car, it was free & it is different. Right now it was done solely for looks, BUT is very functional.

Mechanical fuel & oil pressure. I never mount them in the cockpit. Plus the gauges will be molded into the hood, so they will be kinda hard to steal.

jesus christ people are being so nice about this....but this thing is ****in hideous...and just because it was free? cmon man just cuz something is free doesnt mean you should do it to your car. it was fine as a stock hood...that hood looked WAY better stock...and what function does a cowl hood have on a stock kae in a 240?...if you did it for....umm the guages maybe..you could have made some guage pods and mounted them outside.

i mean im always for diy....but this....this has gone too far. sorry.

Well, that is your opinion, so be it.
I know what I COULD have done. It was far from "fine" as a stock hood.
It is also "stock" because I have only had about $600 to spend on the car..I do have a family & bills to pay.

sorry..for what? It's your opinion & you are entitled to it. I do not get offended at all about what people say about my vehicles. I do it because I want to, that is all. If people get ignorant, I just do not bother responding to them.
Don't like it, don't look at it. That is my view.
