Lowered's 240RB build.
Well To start things off I pick this car up in April '09. This is how it looked.
Stock Ka24de with 148,000 miles, Cold air intake,Sr20 injectors,My mad tyte one of a kind bride detachable hub! It's legit, horn button says so. SAFC2 controller.
Few months later I picked up a set of rims, which are not that awesome but I picked them up cheap with tires. I also tinted the windows. So glad I did.
Then fast forward to September of '10. My shocks were alright but I wanted something different. So I started looking.
Picked up a used set of Tein drift's with Swift springs. I got a good deal on them with about 6k miles.Going to be swapping these out when I get the funds for something new.
Original paint was starting to chip and had some rust. Decided to blast them and paint them. I really like the color.
Then about a week later I sold my truck and was for certain I was going to swap a new engine in it. I didn't even think about swapping in an sr. I just didn't want to. Plus I had the cash for an Rb.
So the week after selling my truck I called up Robert at Zerolift and worked out a deal and picked up an Rb25det,Engine, Trans, ECU. I also got a Mountkit from Zerolift and a 1 piece driveshaft.
Then I ordered a couple more goodies the next day. Greddy style intake manifold.
Not the best quality, but for $200 I can't complain.
IsIs Front mount.
Also picked up but no pictures. IsIs Radiator.IsIs dual fans.
While waiting for the engine and everything else I decided to start tearing the car apart.
Wiring harness on it's way out.
Almost out!
And finally it's out
Need to clean my rack and pinion
Little bit of rust
Then the engine shows up and I start tearing it apart.
The whole engine is very clean, apart from the coolant that looks like someone **** in it.
After cleaning it out and flushing the whole engine coolant with water it was good.
Sandwich adapter,Greddy at that. NICE haha
Oil drained,Which I swear was 7quarts of oil.
Intake on and the engine starting to come back together. Just waiting on Clutch and waterpump and Thermostat.

Everything is coming together, just waiting for my clutch,Nismo thermostat and N1 water pump.
Then my Thermostat and water pump showed up.
Also my clutch did but I somehow forgot to snap a picture of my clutch.
I picked up an spec stage 2 and just had my flywheel resurfaced.
Then before winter hit I had to get the engine in or else I would have to wait since I am doing it all outside.
So after fixing the rust and spraying over the welds to prevent rust(don't worry engine bay will be painted when I remove the engine again)
Getting the engine in was kinda sketchy at first. But when I got underneath and jacked the tranny up while lowering the engine and loosened the motor mounts it slipped in place.
So when winter hit If I wanted to do any work to it I needed a garage. So I built a lean to just for the winter.
I then picked up a used Intercooler kit with a BOV for cheap, and started to install all the little things.
Intercooler and piping on.
I also picked up an Isis MBC
Everything was done besides my turbo outlet and and air filter.
So I contacted Skyo performance and got there turbo outlet to mate to my sr20 downpipe and clear my steering. Great quality. Awesome customer service.
Then I picked up an apexi air filter.
After starting it and driving it everything ran fine but there is a couple of more bugs I need to work out. More pictures to come.

nice build but just a bit of a warning that manual boost controller is set up wrong.
it needs to be hooked up to a vacuum source and its hooked up to the charge pipe it may cause you to overboost and blow your motor the first time you step on it so just saying.
Vacuum is only available from the intake manafold after the throttle body btw

The only things I have left are, Walbro fuel pump,Adjustable FPR. I'm not sure if either one of those has something to do with it not being able to boost higher.
The only other things I can think of is my BOV spring tension is too loose(had to loosen it) and is bleeding off the pressure after .5bar? Not positive I am probably wrong. Or my BOV needs to be recirculated. Or I have a boost leak someplace.
I like how I post this up here and a day later I get the answer I was looking for on how to run my BC. when everyone on Zilvia said the way I ran it was fine. Makes sense why I was getting a lot of surge.

.5 bar is about 7psi which is stock boost. you might have the hoses on backwards it only works one way
also on that stock turbo dont go passed 1bar thats about 14.2psi which is its max efficiency

I was only looking to push 10psi. I would never push the turbo over that. I can't really feel the full potential of the RB since I am breaking the clutch in and the roads are icy.

Wow it's been awhile since I updated this. Maybe you guys can help me figure out what's going on. I just installed a walboro 255lph and an aeromotive fpr. I pulled the turbo recently cause I thought it was blown or close to it.
If its cold and I drive it sometimes it wants to just shut off if I go into boost at all. I can hold the gas to the floor and it will just die, once I let off it starts idling normal. If I let it warm up to 70 celceius or more it will start running fine and pull hard.
After looking things over this is all I can think of.
1.****ty gas. I say this because after a month I put my turbo back on, went and fuel'd up at a different station and it ran fine. Just filled up Tuesday at the other station I use to go to and it starting acting up again last night. I only put 91 or higher in. I'm thinking the company either had a leaky tank or just slapped a 91 sticker on 87 octane.
2. The only other thing I can't think of is my ****ty vacuum lines I keep having to replace. The heat makes the vacuum lines soft and then they collapse and what I'm thinking could be happening is, when I give it gas while cold the vacuum pulls through the line and collapses it, closing any vacuum being pulled through. I just replaced the fpr vacuum cause it was collapsed.
Does anyone have an idea? It would help a lot.
Also, if you notice in one of my pictures I have yellow and red vacuum line, does anyone know where to get the vacuum line like that? It's ran to my bov and actuator. I'm not sure if it's silicon or what but its awesome and I wish I could find more of it.
Thanks for the help guys!

Pretty sure I've narrowed my problem to my o2 sensor. I was reading once the engine warms up the rb doesn't use the o2, only when cold. Mine will run ****ty until 70c then it will run great. Hopefully I can get a replacement.
Here is a couple pics since I haven't added some in awhile.
I also designed and machined a mini-spool which replaces the internals of the vlsd, which is probably going in my spare differential I have laying around.
My plans for the winter are to pull the motor and depending on funds I might rebuild it. The motor only has about 68,000 on it so it has plenty of life left, it just wouldn't hurt having a fresh motor with forged internals.
Whichever way that turns out the other reason for pulling the motor is a wire tuck and paint. The engine bay needs a nice go over and fresh paint.
Last thing in mind is suspension arms. When I purchased the car it came with some cheap suspension arms, so hopefully I can replace everything with some Spl or stance.

Time for an update you asshats!
Purchased an AEM ems series 2, hks fuel rail, 1000ccID injectors, aem wideband gauge and some fuel line. Going to convert to e85.
I got everything wired up last night besides installing the wideband o2, which I'll finish today. I need to figure out something for my fuel line. Basically need a fitting on my aero motive fpr. Tonight I'm going to syphon my fuel out and add e85 and do a test fire.
Here's some pictures, Dicks.
Went up north to fourtown when it was nice. Such an awesome area!

UPDATE!
Is anyone on here anymore? Don't really see much activity on here.
Anywho, got back from the dyno a few weekends back and everything worked out! Sitting at 270hp/213tq at 10lbs. The car feels so much more lively. I must have been limited quite a bit with the stock ecu cause the power increase is astonishing!
