You can get it for the car. You don't even need a clifford remote starter. All they do is setup a relay to act as if you pushing the clutch down, but as I said it is dangerous if you accidentally leave it in gear because the car will drive itself. SO be warned. I will never do it again, unless I get the proper stuff.

You might be lucky enough if the car will stall out. You would be testing your rear brakes as well as your e-brake cables.

I know mine would fail. My driver's side cable is caput.

if you get a clifford alarm, and a clifford remote starter then it wouldn't start if in gear. Even if the e brake is up it will still start in gear and who knows what can happen as Stan pointed out.

Well here is my little input about alarms. I currently have a basic Viper alarm on my civic, which is fine because it does everything i want it to do, unlock and lock the car and do off it opened...But on the first car I drove which was a 93 ford taurus, i had an alpine alarm w/ airhorns (my rents had the car overseas), which worked GREAT! So I have alot of great things to say about alpine. And that was about 3 years ago, and the car had the alarm for about 7 years so im sure they have advanced from then.

And let me let you in on how good alpines quality is. We owned an OLD SKOOL alpine cd headunit bought back 1990 and lasted till 2001 with no problems, its still sitting in my room and just has a burnout bulb and cant see the display. Still works...So I know alpine makes some good $hit

thanks for the compliment man

But the reason they wanted the ancient deck was because it is such a good deck. Those things last forever as previously said and great brand, but yeah u definitely need some type of alarm system.

i like the motorized one.... i hate it when people steal your antennas man... alot of kids around my way (queens) steal antennas for kicks... i see them doing it... the motorized one stays down... which is kool with me... btw people love playing with the antenna if its up, its gonna bend and stuff like that...
