Antenna where?

So today when I was pondering about removing my cruise control (hasn't worked since I bought the car, if it did work I probably wouldn't use it anyways), I was looking at the ol' dirty *** engine bay when I seen something that appeared to be an antenna...under the hood. I have no idea what it is doing there or the purpose of it, wondering if anyone has ever seen something like this before or if the previous owner was more of a ****tard than I originally thought...

lol, as much time as you might spend under there, one would think youd've noticed it by now.

Thats kind of wierd though, why would you put a reciever behind metal? Where does the wire go dude?

I've never seen that before, but you never know.

I'll have to check my car as the antenna is not where one would normally find it. But I will let you know if the previous owner of my car has done the same with the antenna. Cuz Ive never really bothered to look for it.
