Infinity subs?

hey, I was just wondering waht your thoughts were on Infinity subs.. I haven't really heard too much of them.. but there are Infinity 1030W 10" subs on sale around here.. so I was wondering if I should pick them up or not.. any info would be great, about the company, or the subs.. thanks in advance!

Not sure but Infiniti makes good crap so they should sound perfect.

oh and one more thing... if i use these 2 subs.. then what kinda amp would be suitable?.. not talking about the brand and model.. but more like, wattage and all that jazz.. how many channels and stuff.. thanks a lot..

I would just buy a Mono amp the gives 250 RMS

Cardomain has a sale
http://www.cardomain.com/item/INFREF1030W

wantadvice 04-24-2005 04:08 PM

would it be okay to exceed the RMS power of the sub?.. like, 300W peak amp.. or should i get a mono amp with the RMS power near 250? not max? thanks for the help

The battery is grounded and recieves the same 12 v + my reggular car battery gets. it charges too.(basically forever) they are sound storm amps. off brand company but i had a friend with one and was impressed so i picked up three. they are 250rms 2 channel but 500 x1 brigged (sp?) at 4 ohms.

exceeding it is fine. you would just need to turn the gains down which actually helps out the amp and headunit by not working it to the max. unless you're going to ride around on max sometimes you should pass it anyway. try to match the peak power not rms and try to match the total combined peak at least.

wantadvice 04-25-2005 04:31 PM

oh, so.. match the combined peak power of the subs with the rms of the amp? or.. peak power of the amp?

but then each subs are 1000W max .. soo 2000W amp.. mono? peak or rms?.. ahh i'm getting confused.. sorry for all the questions but thanks a lot

Just get and 500watt amp
That should be more then enough to power those :D

2 12s will take away all your trunk space. somehow i got my 2 12s and 2 amps in there, and room for a bowling ball and multimeter :)
