Installed the Kenwood DDX712 in the 240. Pretty slick **** I must say.
So far, it's my favorite dbl din to date.

I've been planning on going with the Kenwood DNX5100 or 6100 with the navigation for my S13. Got any pics of the install from behind?

ya I do. They are not very revealing. It isnt pretty but it IS stout. I'm sure I'll be asked what I did so I'll just save the question and try to explain how I did it. I dont have the factory brackets for the radio so, the iso-mount option was out. Not to mention, unlike all the other Dbl din dvd's I've dealt with, the Kenwoods trim panel is much thicker and beefier than all others I have used in the past which would not fit in the iso-din configuration. I didnt want to have the iso-mount set up and have no trim to speak of. (looks unfinished) So I pondered how to mount this cleanly. Well I got my handy dandy fast urethane adhesive for repairing bumpers and started mixing. First thing was to fit the trim in place and adhere it to the shifter/heater surround panel. After that, I cut 4 equal length pieces of plumbers tape and srewed them to the side of the dvd player itself. I then slid the dvd into place and spread the urethane on and under the the makeshift brackets themselves adhering them to the surround panel. after 20 minutes, Voila!!!ready to literally snap into place. So with that being said, here's some pics.

Here ya go.

Oh, and dont worry about it going to accidentally fall out of place. If you've ever used this urethane stuff, you already know how strong this stuff is.

All of the first pics were in the car pics.

Here's the only one I have so you can see it in the surround panel. This is before final clean up.

Haha. you noticed that? LOL. It was like that when I got it back in October. I havent been driving it so I havent rushed to move it yet. There is no boost controller on there whatsoever other than the wastegate itself which is 10psi so I'm not too worried... YET
