No sound coming from my speakers

Just 2 days ago my speakers just shut off for no reason. I have no fancy system just stock with xplode face. I was wondering if it is a fuse to my stock amps and where is it located?

im having the same problems. somebody once told me that if you upgrade anything (mine are speakers, your apparently is the deck) that sometimes itll cut out randomly. never happened before?

there could be several reasons why your speakers are cutting out, for you who just changed the radio, sony stereos have a protection system if your speakers are blown then it will shut off the internal amp in the radio, thus no sound, same thing if the speaker is ground out any radio will stop playing if the terminals are touching metal

well...... it's called xplode for a reason. i'm not trying to be funny i've just hear bad things about the xplode series that sony put out. if the fuses are fine and the head unit still turns on as it should you should use the aa battery method to check the speakers.

I found a blown fuse in my fuse box and changed it but I still didnt have any sound. I guess I have to take out my face and check it out.

The wiring might be bad as well. I've had my speakers cut out and it was because years of use ended up corroding through the wires!

I would try to find out if there's power still going to your amps. Start narrowing it down a bit.

Thank for all your feed back, yesterday I took out my face and looked if It had a fuse in the back and It didnt so I was shaking the wires and checking all the connections, I didnt find anything bad, so I put it back in and it started working again?!?!? WTF Ohh well

My Alpine did that to me on my old S14, I did pretty much the same thing you did by checking the wires and all. Next thing you know it worked. But yeah, I also heard bad things about Sony decks.

Its almost time for me to get a new deck soon too, my Alpine is almost 8 years old. I cant believe I said that... Im so old...
