hey guys im not looking for something extraordinaire jsut a little kick to my 240 with the audio. So i am thinking of purchasing a mtx 4001 amp with two roxford p2 12 inch subs, a vented box attached too 4 mtx speakers does it sound alright for 500$ or got a better sub/amp in mind ?

That's cheap. But, if you're buying it used, be careful with it! People will pound the **** out of it. The P2 subs suck though. I have a 15 inch Rockford Fosgate HE 2 (or something) and it works wonderfully still. I got it used. I just think Rockford Fosgate has gone down hill.

I would suggest Alpine.

Not bad for $500, see if you can listen before you buy. If there's no physical damage or Mickey Mouse stuffs going on, and it sounds good - why not?

Alpine type R....

Alpine rules. I've got an alpine head with custom wiring ran to type r's and type s componenets... sounds great. I think kicker makes some decent gear too.

Kicker is all SPL. I have an L5 12 inch and its great but when it comes to rock it just doesnt hit FAST enough...Wish I went with the type R but I got the kicker for a good price...I have an Alpine HU and its badass...

The best part of waking up is /////ALPINE in your trunk... woot.
