third set of speakers

so i have an extra set of 6.5 rockfords sitting in my basement and i was wondering how, if even possible, to wire them up to a deck. they would be the 5th and 6th speaker in my car...or do i need to buy an amp for them? i have a panasonic aftermarket deck that is 4 x 50....so i guess it would suck if i just piggybacked them onto the back channels right?

yeah you are going to need an amp to run those
maybe buy a bridgable or low impedance stable amp and run two pairs in parallel

technicly yes you could run them off of the same channels as the other speakers is it reccomened? no. have i done it? yes on multiple cases, and it will work just fine and shouldnt hurt anything. it will usually divide the power in half. really no worries most likely it will saticfy you for awhile. you'll want more,More,MORE! and you'll amp them.

so will it even help to put them in then if it cuts the power in half? i plan on buyin an amp, just would rather spend it on things that make the car go faster first, then ill get the amp.

you should notice more depth to the sound.
if you have one of the newer style panasonic with the day/night face plate like the one i have which it sounds like you do. the 50x4 was enough to run my Infiniti Kappa Perfect 6.5 components just fine without a seperat amp and i was told it wouldnt be enough power to run them since they are rated at 90wrms and that i would need an amp. im sure i will be enough to run one more set for a bit.
