if you have the stock speaker mounting thingy, just ziptie it in. then yesh, they will fit.

jramosthe1st! Apr 17, 2007 07:32 PM

fit in what and where?

i'm guessing the door of a s13, if so yes i think thats the same size i have but pioneer.

cronux Apr 17, 2007 07:35 PM

oh, i was thinkin door of s14, and even if you dont have speaker box thingies, you can just ziptie it to bolt holes in the door. (i mean.. thats not what i did.....

jramosthe1st! Apr 17, 2007 07:42 PM

you don't even need the stock mounting thing i used 7/16" plywood. but zip tieing it is not a good idea because you need a baffle board.

cronux Apr 17, 2007 08:38 PM

bah humbug. ( hey, they make sound, im happy. (better than no radio at all) )

soul strong Apr 18, 2007 03:07 PM

oh so they will fit then looks like ill have some new speakers :D :D :D
hey anyone know about the rear now? i know they have 4x6 but i heard of people installing them in that spot still. i want a clean look... hidden speakers but still sounding bad ass

ryguy Apr 18, 2007 08:27 PM

ZIPTIE?! holy hell that would sound like ****. Radiators and exhausts are one thing, but speakers are completely different. Use a drill and do it the right way. Either way, if you use plywood and make your own bracket the S13 can fit up to a 6 inch round speaker.

soul strong Apr 19, 2007 05:56 AM

oh.. again im dont make my post clear.... i meant to say can i fit 6x9 alpine type R's in the rear. like where the old stock speakers are located

jramosthe1st! Apr 19, 2007 07:50 AM

you'll have to us a dremal tool or something similar to make the hole bigger. but you might not be able to get a 6x9 in there (s13 fb).

Dude are these going into an S14 or an S13 coupe?

soul strong Apr 19, 2007 10:32 AM

they are going into a 1990 240sx fastback

jramosthe1st! Apr 19, 2007 10:41 AM

i don't think they'll fit. maybe 5x8s will.

ryguy Apr 19, 2007 10:42 AM

They will NOT fit in the stock speaker location. Some people have put bigger speakers on the cargo cover (I think S13 240 has) but youre not gonna get anything bigger than 4x6 in the stock holes.
