is 15.9 sec good 1/4

give me your guys opinion...i went out last night to Sacramento Raceway...andi time a 15.9 on 1/4 mile...runnning with regular unlead octane(87) only mods i have is kn fliter and 2 1/4 inch manga flow cat back..i think i could of ran faster...imma go back out next wedsenday and run on 91 octane...but i hoping to get my headers in by then too...but anywase is 15.9 good for what i have on my car...

your engine is a ka24e or ka24de???
with that time it has to be manual correct?
That is really a sweet time dont be convinced otherwise.

mines a ka24de...yea it manual...it a good time..:/....i was looking for some thing like 15.2 to 15.5....i was disappoint to hit only at 15.9....well maybe next week i hit that hmm..15.5 or so.....but i was surprise cause i was running agaisnt a s13 sr20 swap..running dial in time..he dial at 14 and i dial at 15.9...i though he get me..but he didnt..:S...he ran a 14.3 going 96.966 mph..i did my 15.9 at 86.502...well that what it says on my time slip...

That's not bad for a near-stock S13, but overall it's not a good time.

yea...i know i can do faster...cause my brother got a 96 acura integra and we ran on street and i beat him by a car and he ran last night but with 91octane he his best time was 15.52...and i was like dayem....so imma go back out next week with 91 and see how well i do...

When you get headers your time should lower a bit.

I should lend you my automatic and you might just feel a whole lot better Lmao, Really high 15 is good and yes you can make it to a low 15 without doing much, you tried wheight reduction??
Take out rear seats and passenger along with taking the Ac Belt off and other little tricks like that???

yea i know how weak it feels..ahha...my friend had a auto..i took out the rear seats..it didnt make much difference..just the car feel a little lighter..but not much...but i know i can hit lower....imma go back next wedsenday and time my car again...i dont want to take my ac belt off i know it makes a differences...but my gf needs the ac..ahha...but it kewls...just gonna run with 91 octane this time and see how much of a difference it makes...

dude I wish I could hit that good, I have a ka24e I got a header short shifter intake and full exhaust, if and when I go to the track im gonna advance my timing run 91 octane with octane booster take out my back seat and spare tire and see what happens hpe fully I can get into the 15`s.

dont waste your money on octane booster...just use that money to get like a gallon or 2 of 100 octane it more worth it...:S....well that what i think i gonna go get for this week run...a gallon of 100 octane..and then put like 3 gallon of91...better hit a good as time..ahaha....

15.9 is a good time??? damn, i got intake and exhaust and i ran a 15.3 and thats with a ****ty headgasket!! lol

i got injen intake and Apex'i GT-Spec Exhaust also got tokio stuts and eibach springs, but i dont think they make that big of a differance in the 1/4

octane does not make ***** power it prevents detonation. this allows you to run higher copression or more boost

15.3 is not unheard of for a near stock 240.
remove your hood open your air box low tire pressuer etc
