runnin ka24det with an exhaust leak (tried fixen friday but another popped up) anyway i have never raced at the track before but have been tryin to get there 5 times something always goes wrong this time i said i am goin no matter what was wrong well here are the results--oh yea only gettin 9-10psi it was actin weird from the leak

and blew the stock headgasket so my day was over after that but it was fun while it lasted rebuilt head to come soon:thumb:

oh yea,i love this engine, i have another engine and tranny in the garage i picked up for 300 bucks to rebuild but it looks like the headwork will come sooner than i wanted 3 angle vj,arp headstuds and cometic hg:naughty:

So your ganna use that head on the KA-T?

and thanks but reaction times could be alot better at thunder valley (local drag track) the perfect r/t is .000 so i have alot of improving to do the only car i raced to beat me was a 2000 z-28 sprayin but it was fun none the less just wish it could have lasted longer lol

found out today it wasnt the headgasket it was the ringsso i have a spare motor i am throwing in it for now and i will rebuild the other motor but i allready ordered the headgasket and head studs so the rebuild starts early

elks, what were you using for fuel managment? Do you have a Air-Fuel gauge or anything? Im just wondering because I want to boost my KA to about 10psi, and I DONT want to blow the motor. No offense, just trying to learn from others misfortunes here.

i use an safc II but it might have been an injector not working properly or somethin it wasn't the motors fault somethin weird just happened i have egt also but it didnt look bad it was rich so really not sure what happened we are investigating it the motor is a good motor just gotta make sure everything is working properly when the engine is making around 300ehp so i will post more when i know more.:dunno:
