good stuff camera was sort of hard to follow.. but cool. nice to see it going down in the middle of the US.

nismobenzo 07-14-2010 10:06 AM

yeah most of us never had any track time before the events this year
so were all growing alot skill and passion wise for the sport
and aim to get as many people hooked as possible!

Biggamehit 07-14-2010 02:14 PM

good stuff!!! if I happen to EVER get stuck there, I have somewhere to slide with people.

nismobenzo 07-14-2010 08:33 PM

yeah i wish we could get more experienced guys to come in to help out with everyone whos just starting out

Biggamehit 07-15-2010 02:21 AM

hey man you are doing it.... the experience will come with every sessions brother trust me.

have you guys been watching drift bible?? as corny as it sounds, I use to watch it daily lol before I got my car. When I got the car I just put everything into motion

I see alot of chaos going on there. haha. You guys should mark clipping points and try to take lines through the course. Maybe set up a course that uses the top of 2nd gear mostly. Fewer turns at higher speeds = fun.

that's the biggest difference in American style vs Japanese.

Japan is way more technical. you even see it in the pro level of drifting. those long sweepers that FD do don't impress me at all.

yeah i think hes selling it because he cant handle that raw ls1 powa! ha
but if anyone from kansas/arkansas wants to come down to tulsa to join or watch itll be alot of fun!

Biggamehit 07-19-2010 05:48 PM

OOOOh no brother!!!! I was not talking about the rx-7 Fd.... im talking about FD as in Formula Drift.

Man Im not hating on no one out there or any drifter in the world man.. we are all brothers with one common goal.

Hopefully wherever I go when I return to the states has technical courses. That is when drifting really gets fun and challenges you. For you guys it would accelerate your learning as well. If I ran a parking lot event, I would use hey mixed in with cones rather than just cones alone as it gives you a better vantage point.

240smoke 07-21-2010 09:29 PM

Yeah, I can drift a technical course all day. I just prefer the higher speed courses. :)

Higher speed makes for more exciting Tandems too. The local figure 8 that we drift at, its a pretty slow track but the walls and tight track make it a big rush.

nismobenzo 07-22-2010 11:17 AM

this will be my first actual course time so im excited

240smoke 07-22-2010 08:56 PM

Check out my drift event page. "the drift effect" and tell me what you think.
