Since I got my 240sx a month ago I have been practicing my drifts. Tell me what you think and how I can improve, also I havent used the ebrake much yet, but I hear you can use it to correct your drift angle? My car has: ka24, 5speed, kyb AGX, lower springs, intake, Catback, LSD, Volk Gramlights, HIDS Kouki front end.

Thanks

wet pavement...

well, i tried a little drifting today, rough pavement is hard to do it on... the whole car was sliding all over, more like front wheel sliding... had to burn off some rubber since i got new rims and tires.
J,

So you love understeer!!!!

Do you have LSD??? If not good luck with that drifting.

So when you get new tires you have to burn them off??

REDS240 03-24-2005 06:44 PM

no.....

I got new rims and tires, so i had to burn off the rubber from the old ones. no lsd either, for a bit of the semi-drift it was more like one legging... fun though.
i think if it was a smoother lot if wouldn't been better?
J.

l3ooherS14 04-22-2005 12:37 PM

LSD=more fun.

irax 04-26-2005 04:10 PM

LSD = easy drift... I acualy had more fun driftin peg-leg... since it was harder to do it feells really good when you do.

Cone courses may be great to learn a feel for your car, but if you want percision drifting you may want to find an non residental area with streets to get some practice with actual threat to your car. I found myself that you gain more skill in and appreciation for the sport when you have risk, cones just dont do it but a ditch with a couple foot drop off does =/. dont be stupid and put other peoples lives in danger though, drifting is cool until the cops impound your car.
