Dry drifting
tried dry drifting for the first time tonight, and..........THIS ISH IS HARD.
It's not as simple as listening to peoples advice, it will take alot of practice proper tuning and practice
oh yeah look into getting used tires. With all the practice prepare shell out the cash for tires.
All i know is enter the corner slightly fast then you'll want to tuck (quick turn) away from the corner. as you quickly turn in you'll brake firmly, clutch in, downshift to probably 2nd, heel or toe out to the acceleraterso you bring up your rpm and pop the clutch out. don't mash the throttle, try to feather it, that way the constant revving will help to keep your rear tires spinning while you try to control your drift with steering and throttle manipulation.
(i got one good one in next time i run i'll try to get some vids.)

I come into the turn about 45mph in 3rd. Then I steer away from the apex about 30 yards from the begining of the turn snap the wheel back while simultaniously depressing the clutch, putting it in 2nd and bringin the rpms all the way up, then both hands on the wheel to do corrective steering and pop the clutch. Now this all has to happen really fast and if it begins to grip pop the clutch again. Definetly have to ignore the noise though.
Also if your doing consecutive turns meaning that your not going directly straight for long periods of time (like it is in the buisness park i practice in) you MUST watch your engine temp guage. With out the radiator getting alot of cool air, you can over heat. I've done this before..
Also note that if you have a really good slide you can close the distance of your FRONT fender from the curve by feathering the gas, or tapping the brake. For much sharper turns e.x. hairpins the E-Brake is a great tool for initiating the loss of traction. But you should learn to do the power over method. And anyone that says you can't break traction is bull****ting. Increase your speed and use the momentum of the car to break the wheels lose. This stuff is hard, I still get out of my car shaking when I'm done so be careful. And watch those little PIGGIES with the red and blue lights!!!!!!! Happy Drifting

So i am drifting and when i exit the turn i try to salow down but the tail begins to swerve as the weight begins to shift back torwards the corner i just exited.
I am thinking this is caused by an "Accel Off" style of drifting but is there another way to slow down or should i just keep feathering the gas until the car stabilizes?

Well, it all depends on what your next move is. If you just completed a right hand turn and then are going to move into a left hander, try and see if you can keep it loose all the way up to the next turn, and keep it going where you want by doing feints if nesassary. If you exit the turn into a straight away, just do what ever you need to do to get the wheels sticking and moving straight down the road. Tap the brakes when you get out of the turn and your car is facing straight ahead so your tires grip then just slam on the gas and go. It really depends on how hard of a drift your in, what your speed it. So on so forth.. I am really not good at explaining things. I just kinda do it as I feel it coming.
