happens to lots of us, not only 240 owners...fluid isnt heating up yet thus not allowing smooth shifts...just be gentle when driving your car at first till its hot

would this be the cuase of the oil im using? or does anyone know which transmission oil is the best for it..regualar or syntehic..and what brand.. well right now im useing mobil1 syntehic..so i don't know if thats the cause.

Most of our cars do it. Because synthetic is a little thinner cars I have driven with synthetic don't shift as good until they are wamred up, but once warmed up they shift better.

Make sure you are using GL-4 fluid also.

I use MT-90 in my tranny and it is great once it is warm.
