humming when clutch is pressed

OKay, whenever i press my clutch I hear a slight humming coming from my tranny and a slight vibration in my shifter. when i let go of the clutch , it goes away and when i put it in gear and pull off, it goes away. But when i come to a stop light or just sitting there and I push in the clutch, I feel that humming on my shifter. Also, The car doesnt seem to pull as hard as it was like 2 weeks ago. Is it my clutch wearing out? Need some help, thanks.

Throwout bearing maybe? When was it last replaced?

Jovan 03-29-2006 07:10 AM

Not quite sure, i got the car maybe two months ago. I recently changed my fluid from whatever was in there to MT-90.

Well the fluid doesn't come into contact with the throwout or the clutch so that's not an issue. You're gonna hafta drop the transmission down anyways to look at both the throwout bearing and the clutch...might as well do it and find out what's up. It's not hard at all with two guys...me and my friend just did my 5speed swap over the weekend.
