leaking gear oil out the bell housing!!

alright ive had my 240 on the road for just over a week now and im already hittin problems. the other night i noticed a small puddle under my car of what seemed to be gear oil...turns out im leaking gear oil out from the oil seal in the transmision and im gunna have to drop my whole tranny and replace it, my question now is until i do that is there any chance that the gear oil in the bellhousing could in any way ruin my clutch disc. i havent felt any slipping yet it seems to be just a slow leak i have lost that much fluid yet so im assuming its not coming in contact with the clutch but if by any chance say it does would that ruin my brand new 400 dollar clutch?? jus making sure because i dont feel like having to buy another clutch if i drive the car for another 2 days before i get enough time to fix the problem.
its a 5 speed by the way, i looked on the fsm and theres a gasket and an oil seal like right behind the bellhousing going into the case im assuming thats the source of the problem has anyone else ever leaked gear oil from their bellhousing before? if so any advice for me?
thanks for the help,
-justin

change your rear main seal and the driveshaft output seal (while you're at it). If you see some oil around the clutch/flywheel area, just spray it with brake cleaner and allow to dry before you reinstall the tranny.

and don't forget new gear oil.

bleed/flush the cooling system, use 50/50 mix, and replace the thermostat since you'll have the system drained anyways
