at to manual plus sr20

what is involved in converting an american 240sx at to a manual if you swap in a sr20det that is manual? I know you have to add the pedals and shifter, but would it mess up anything else?

i'm talking about a whole front clip swap, not just the engine, so the manual tranny would already be in place

if you buy the front clip then you'll have about90% of everything you'll need. lots of people convert when they go SR20. plus there are sites that have documented said procedures

i know i can't spell but i can drive my *** off

Front clip or not you will be charged more to install a manual tranny + SR into a auto transmissioned 240sx. MAL is right.

Just because the parts are there doesn't mean that a shop will through the installation of the parts in for free. I hope I am not coming off like a hard *** I am just trying to not sugar coat this swap like most people do.

It is going to cost money. Lots of it. Prepare to spend it.

I have found quoets for 5600 for a manual to manual swap. Parts and labor.

Parts and labor on top of that if your car was an auto is 1500.

What costs so much? Labor. The parts are already there. You have already paid for them. The labor is high on the job. Pedals have to be mounted as well as other items gotta run to work will finish tonight.

I talked to Heavy throttle and they said its about $1000 or $1500 dollars labor plus any other parts they need to do the auto/manual swap on top of the sr swap. It was one of the two numbers/lost the email but i think it was 1500.
