MT tranny rebuild?

After oodles of drifting, and the infamous clutch-kicking in low gears I've destroyed the shyncros between 1st and 2nd gear... at least I think so, I get this grinding noise when the tranny get hot and toasty, when I shift into 2nd gear.

Has anyone else come across this problem? Has anyone done a transmission rebuild, I know it's nasty as hell, but is it worth it? Should I just wait from some teenager noob to plant his s13/s14 into a tree and grab his transmission?

Transmission rebuilds take alot of hours. If I were you I would just go pick up a gear box off of the 1997 frontier, it comes with the nismo 5th gear of .838. Then just swap out the synchros systems.
You will want to use the 240sx shaft supposedly the frontier bell housing is longer by 10". This will only take a couple of hours instead of 10 hours of putting in all new rings and bushing that are required for rebuilding the werner synchros system. Plus the NISMO 5th cost a grip if bought seperately it comes standard in all hardbody and frontier trucks from 1986-1997. I'm not shure if if the NAPSZ (FS) transmission gear boxes come with all the necessary sensors.
I do know that all the transmissions from 86-90 come with only the speed sensors, not the 4th and 5th sensors.
