quick noobish question...
how would i know if my S14 SE has a VLSD? i heard something about an orange sticker on the top.... few notes, my car is not ABS equipped, i've heard that if it doesn't have ABS, it most likely doesn't have a LSD.... i would look for the orange stick but my car's got 257k miles and a lot of grime build up... if i called Nissan and had them run my VIN... would they be able to tell me????
|
get under the car and look for the sticker...
also jack rear wheels up, release ebrake and spin tires.. if they both go the same way, its VLSD, if not its open |
gotcha, i would look for the sticker but seriously there's like a half inch of grime... and the other day when i put my spacers on i spun the wheels... only one spun.... so I'm assuming it's an open diff, but didn't know if the VLSDs would act like that if used, beat up and low on fluid... thanks tho, i know it's a retard question but i was feeling a bit lazy and just figured I'd ask!!!!

You have an open diff bro, lsd would still spin both tires.
Upgrade to a Z32 TT diff, then have fun. |
z32tt diffs dont fit so goodluck with that
weld it if you dont have money |
LOL then pick up an R33 diff LOL
|
im just gona stop posting lol
|
why get all them exotic diffs just get the 5 bolt infinity j30 diff ivw had it on both my sr and my ka works great $150 ftw
|
J30 diffs are good too, but I heard the gear ratio is a bit slower than the others.
|
is the j30 a direct bolt on or do you need the axles too?
|
You'll need the axels. Unless you have an S14 SE.
EDIT: there are a few S13's that are direct bolt on, but youll still need to drill out the holes for the bigger J30 bolts. |
you the the half shafts..not axles
but if your car is 5 or 6 bolt make sure u get a j30 with the matching amount of bolt holes..and just swith the cover, no drilling holes bs theres only like 10000000000000000000000000 threads online about this ish |
