I have an 89 240SX coupe. I am trying to figure out what the transmission and final drive gear ratios are and I keep finding conflicting information. I was hoping I could get a little help.

The trans number(from the plate under the hood) is FS5W71C

The diff number is RC40

I am not sure if that will help, but I appreciate any you guys could give.

i think the final drive ratio (stock 240) is something like 4.08. i'm not totatlly sure, but i think that's what it is...

EDIT: hey Jon, i think i found ur info. even though this site lists the 97-98 240, it has the exact same tranny part number:

Yup, that site's right and the final drive ratio is 4.083.
