s14 driveshaft
not true
thats not entirely true, abs does have to do with the driveshaft, im putting together a 5 spd swap for my s14 with ABS and through my research, i've found that the abs and non-abs driveshafts are about an inch different in size so if you have an ABS car u need an ABS driveshaft and vice-versa, and used s14 abs driveshafts are impossible to find so it looks like i'll be going with a one-piece aluminum...hope this helps...
why would the driveshaft matter in relation to the brakes? there`s the same amount of distance tween the trans and th diff with or without it, right? and the ABS wouldn`t have any components on the diff or axles, iWould assume.
yup
didnt sound right to me either, but there is a difference in the two driveshafts of about an inch and the people that i've talked to about it before have done a bunch of 5 speed swaps so i trust 'em...
ok, I will confirm that their is a difference between the shafts, but which shaft do i have? I have a 92 240sx-se with a 95 240sx motor swap, and now i am doing the sr20det black top swap but my drive shaft too long. I bought the car used with the swap"95 ka" already in. so i am at a loss on if i need a abs shaft or a non-abs? help..........
