Tranny Problems?

Are there any known problems with the ka24de tranny, that I should know about before I buy one.

I don't want to end up with problems like my DSM friends, they have tranny problems to the 4th power.

How strong is the stock KA tranny. I wish to run like 350whp, how will it hold up?

Is there any place that can build the KA tranny's stronger? The last thing I want is a built motor with a problematic tranny, they are are tuners worst nightmare.

These trannies are pretty damn strong. I have heard of people going over 350rwhp on a KA tranny and no problems with the tranny at all. I'm sure it can hit 450-500 w/o problems.

sorry santi but these ka trannies are notoriously finiky...

first put only gl4 compliant tranny fluid
gl5 is easier to find but it eats the copper syncros

2nd shift carefully copper is soft and the syncros are easily destroyed...

3rd yes there are full race tranny build kits for about 7g's call phase 2 motorsports for more info
