Transmission Problem

I have a 1995 240sx se and have recently replaced my worn out clutch, replaced my slave cylinder, and put in a stainless steel clutch line. Before one of the springs on my friction disc popped out requiring me to replace the clutch, revese would slip and I could never downshift from second into first unless I was almost stopped. Now that I have replaced the worn items and driven around for a day, second gear slips if I shift over 2,000 rpms and I cannot downshift from 3rd into 2nd but it will downshift into 1st gear If I'm going fairly slow. What gives? I would normally just let it go but if I lose use of second gear the car is basically useless to me. Please help!

umm, well I know on most cars there's some sort of first gear lock that makes it so you can't go into 1st unless almost at a complete stop, at least that's what I heard... I know mine has to almost be stopped. and a lot of my friends cars are the same way. I know my prelude, and other 240 did it... did you clean the flywheel? I would probably take it all apart and start over, if the clutch is still good.

Thanks for the input! My problem was actually with second gear and I'm 100% sure its the synchro so I am buying a junkyard tranny and rebuilding the current one in my spare time.
