Transmission probs...

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum. I bought my 1995 240sx (s14) with AT transmission about 6 months ago and have no major problems with the transmission. Just today, when I turned on the car and began to drive, the car shook rapidly in the low rpms. Everytime I would brake and accelerate again, or turn left or right from stop, the car would shake. Also, the gears won't shift smoothly from first to second. I can see the tachometer jumping around...I put new transmission fluid in about three days ago, but haven't had any problems until now. Does anyone know what the problem is specifcally, or do I have to go to a mechanic and get the whole thing fixed for alot of money?

Yuor car "jerking" arround when takign off and in low RPMs might be a vacum leak. Do this: Take the intake filter housing and separate from the MAF metter. then put your mouth covering it and blow. No air in any way should come out of anywhere. If you hear a "pssst" then some hose somewhere is broken. If you smoke, get a cigarret and blow smoke inside the intake in until is thick. then Blow some more smoke the same way, with preasure and you should see the smoke come out. Have a budy look at the engine. Maybe the engine is loosing power so bad, the tranny shifts to compensate for the low RPMs and huge loads in the engine.
