USDM S13 R200 Differential side flange
Does anyone know how many "mountains" (teeth, I assume) are on the USDM S13 R200 (NON VISCOUS) side flange?
Here's a clip from the ATS Japan site: www.a-t-s.co.jp/atshtml/n-nissan.htm I have NRA 109110... if you scroll to the bottom, it's a replacement for Nissan viscous units. It seems to be indicating that there was a change in 1996 to a side flange that was 30 teeth, as opposed to 29 teeth. It also says that the pre-96 one used a side flange with 29 teeth. Now, how many teeth are on the USDM side flange? When swapping to a VLSD, is the problem the teeth on the side flange (the number of teeth) or is it something else? It lists an ATS part number (37192-12) for the 29 tooth side flange. However, since when you have a viscous diff you don't have to replace your side flange (see #36)... wouldn't it seem to be the case that 37192-12 is just a Nissan OEM side flange for R200V? Now the tricky question -- is the 29 tooth side flange for a JDM R200V *DIFFERENT* from the USDM side flange for R200V???? if you can't read japanese, babelfish.altavista.com can translate. |
