VLSD from a '90+ 300z into an '89 coupe

Before everyone tells me to search I have. I have searched here, I have searched zilvia, I have searched **********, I have searched google, and all I've gotten is conflicting information.

I have a VLSD from a '90+ 300z n/a and was looking at putting it into my '89 240sx coupe. From what I have read this is possible, if:

1. Swap the rear cover - easy enough
2. new VLSD input shafts from an S13 OR
new axles from a J30

I know that the diff I have has 5 bolt output flanges, and that I have 6 bolt shatfs in my car, so obviously I need to either swap the output shafts or the axles.

My question: What year J30 would have the proper axles?

I'm on a serious budget, and I know I can get the axles from a junkyard, while the output shafts I can not, and require a bunch more work to get done.

Has anyone here actually done this on their S13? S14 guys I love you, but unless you have actual experience on this swap please pipe down...

I have not done this personally...just putting in my input

I have heard from a lot of people that have actually done it that the pre 95 J30 axels bolt right up to both the 240 and the Z32 diff.

So if I were to order up the axle shafts from a '94 J30 from a parts yard local to me (for $35 each) this thing would bolt on?

cool. Once done I'll report it back in, likely with photos for those interested.

My source has another one of these for sale, in case anyone else is interested...
