I know that sp engineering put a 2jz in an rx-7 and in 6th gear at 75mph, they were at 5000 rpms. I've talked to them personally. I've been told that the gearing in RX-7s and 240s is close to the same. A guy in the local speed club just blew his motor and bought a 2jzgte instead. He's putting it in his 93 R1. It's going to be a b*tch!

The R1 (which was follwed by the R2) was the performance model. It came with dual oil coolers, suede like seats, and no sunroof.
And as far as 13Bs being easy to deal with. You cannot make good HP without a properly tuned standalone ECU.

a little OT but has anyone seen the gixxer cart? this reminded me of it. it's a gocart with a gsx motor on it 115ps and i think 170ish KG's talk about power to weight. dude drift the living shiat out of it on the course in europe i may be able to find the link if anyone wants it. worth the DL.
