2jzgte swap questions
guys im thinking of doing the 2jzgte swap for my s14... i know its going to mess up the balance, but just how much? how much weight is a sr20det? and how much is a 2jz??

wh wouldnt it be able to drift
if you are asking if a car can still drift because of a motor swap you are a total tool and obviously dont have the mental tools needed to do a complex swap like a 2j into a s14 much less drift

umm ok mr. smart guy... i know it can drift.. its not a matter of the motor why 240 is able to drift... i am asking how would it affect the performance due to the change on weight and balance... if your not going to try and help out... but rather just flame people... you obviously need a life

The extra power you gain from the swap will definately make up for the extra weight. I dont know exactly how much more it weights but since the s14 is pretty neutral the handling shouldn't be too bad.
I would just try to set the engine back alittle but then again I dont know what driveshaft you are gonna use. Must be custom, right?
I know the 2J is a great engine, but why dont you just put a rb25det. Another great engine and easier in my opinion.

you have no idea about what your saying waynehead...
if your question is how it will affect the preformance for drifting... it will probly help contray to popular belife a 50/50 weight balance is not prefered for drifting... most people like a front bias i h=ave hear as much as a 60/40 balance

i dont know yet, i want to drag with it, but also i would like to have fun drifting with it you know? But i dont see how the weight and the balance difference will help on drifting??? It made me happier when i heard that but thats not what everyone else is saying tho. Catharsis can you explain why you would say that again? i thought perfect balance (50/50) cars such as rx-7 and such are best at autocrossing and drifting, isnt that so? why is 60/40 better for drifting?

What wiring would you use for this swap?
