hi guys im new here and just got s13 with no motor and have anybody done 350z swap or 3.5 maxima swap for s13 i have Z32TT but i know its pain in the *** to swap it in

lol nice avatar... anyways, no i dont think its possible to swap a z32TT into a 240 chassis, the turbos make it too wide, but i have heard that you can make it a single turbo and have it fit... never heard of the 3.5 going into a s13. BUT, if you really want a motorswap, rb20 front clips and ca18 front clips are really cheap, under a grand (plus shipping of course). Im currently saving for one.

 

couse all i hear is sr20 sr20 i know rbswap its all about custom work but price to swap sr20 in NY brooklyn is around 6.5-7k instald so im just thinking how and what will be nicer for s13

 

rb20 doesnt require much custom work at all. Wiring mostly. i hear you on the sr20 stuff... its everywhere. I swear at least once i week a ricer asks me if my 240 has an sr20...

I doubt swapping a VQ into an s13 chasis will be much cheaper. Your going to need to have custom work done and that is never cheap. It's not going to just drop right in.

sr or ca swap is going to be your best bet for the money. what kinda power are you looking for? why not do the swap yourself? 7 grand for a sr swap is horrible dont everpay that much. that vg30dett has been swapped, ive seen multiple s13's with that swap, although i dont recall if they were single or twin setups...

 

...vg30 isnt as easy as it looks to swap, but if you can do it, and want to do it, by all means go for it.
