89-90 clutch slave different from 91-94 - what to use for my '90 with SR20DET tranny?

I was looking into getting a new slave cylinder since they're cheap and mine's old. Clutch has always been a little off. I'm wondering if it's because I'm using the SOHC slave cylinder?

Being that the 91-94 KA's are DOHC and Nissan has a different slave cylinder for the cars, I'm thinking for my DOHC SR20DET, I should get the 91-94 slave cylinder for my '90? What do you guys think?

I know the slave that came off my ca18det is the same as the ka24DE. It was no good so when i went to discount parts store, i made them bring out the Ka24DE slave and it had the same 3/4 stamped on it.

Did the engine come with one? I figure if you go to the store and get one from a 91 KA24DE it should be the same.

IIRC, my old RB20 slave cylinder was the same as the SOHC slave cylinder. I'm pretty sure SOHC and DOHC are swapable

if u use the DE slave, since its bigger diameter, the pedal is softer. The SOHC slave is alittle smaller.
DE => 12/16"
E => 11/16"
