Question ABS with the RB25 Swap???

So I have a question. My boyfriend is doing the RB swap into his 95 240SX SE, with all the bells and whistles. Our question is... Can he keep the ABS with this swap? He ordered the motor mounts from McKinney and it says you have to indent the firewall in the area of all the ABS stuff. (pics didn't have ABS). If anyone has does this and knows for sure please let me know. Motors ready to go in, just need to know if the ABS needs to come out. Thanks!!!

ABS can stay, you may have to remove it to drop the motor in but it can go back in. I know it can remain with the RB20 swap in an S13, and I dont imagine it'd have to come out permanently on an RB25 S14.

It can stay with enough hassle. you may want to keep it in while you beat the hell out of the firewall, because I have seen the mounting holes not want to line up after your done, if they have been allowed to move around. My question to you guys is, why the hell would you want to keep the ABS? If you are in an area with lots of snow and ice every year I can see it, but otherwise early ABS systems are usually more hassle than they are worth.
I think it was Eddie Hill (Jaguar F1 Racing) that said "traction control is your foot, not a computer" reffering to traction systems for acceleration and deceleration. You guys can do whatever you want, and I am not bashing you at all, I just never liked crappy oldschool ABS and I have never seen anyone want to keep it. I even have an S13 ABS unit in perfect shape, and I have never tried selling it cause I couldnt imagine anyone wanting it. haha.
but on another note, I hope the swap goes well, and that you both enjoy the car. All of my RB customers have been MORE than happy so far. Good luck.

So the ABS is coming out, but the metric fittings are hard to come by. He's being lazy and didn't want to have to bleed the brakes. Thanks though

get a flare tool and use the extra lines from the abs as your needed fittings. By the way, you will need a new master cylinder. the ABS unit only has 2 outlets, but a normal non-ABS MS has 3 (front left, front right, and rear)
