Alternator differences?

can you use a ka24de alternator on an rb, or sr series motor?

Ive heard you can use a KA alternator on a RB...but I may be wrong

you should be able to use any alternator on any motor realy, as long as a bracket can be made so that it fits and everything. i was just wondering.

Pretty much yea, but I test fitted a KA24E alter. on a RB20 and didnt seem to fit, then again I was in a hurry and it was the SOHC alt. could be different for the dohc

I believe you can for the SR, but it has to be from a DOHC, and I'm not completely sure it will all line up, it might need a little custom fab
