bang for the buck ?

earlier today i picked out the color to paint my 240. for those who don't know abou it its a 90 240 coupe no wing. the color i have chose is nissan 350z rust orange (du pont). but as for the swap i have been rethinking the rb up and down. i just think its too much work involved for a daily driven car. what are easy mods for a sr20det to up the power a lil bit and have it run really good as a daily driver. ill be getting a greddy fmic, boost controller, and turbo timer. also an apexi power intake system, and n1 duals. eventually when i save up extra money i'll upgrade the turbo( not too big) and fuel sytem as well as get a haltech mngmt. unit. what kind of power should i expect to make and what are other easy mods to free up some more power?

and what does it cost to put air in a sr swapped 240? i was told custom lines are needed and they are costly. is there any truth to this or is there a company or person that makes a/c kits for the sr's? thanks guys for all the help you;ll be giving me.

I don't know why you would think the RB swap to be too much work, be it 20 or 25 it's still a pretty simple and straight forward swap. The 20 is the easier of the 2 because of the use of the stock driveline and the ease of wiring, but do what you want.

I don't know why you don't do suspension and drivetrain, keeping the KA.

So rebuild it, doesn't take a lot of money.

Depends on what you do with it...when you take a KA and build it to a few hundred hp, it has a pretty decent resale value.

The resale depends on what kind of a person you find to buy your car. I had mine sold for 8500 before it blew up, and it's a astock bodied, primered RB240. Resale on modded cars is really luck.

Night is right.

I would like to add that if you build this car with the thought that you are getting your money back good luck.

It aint gonna happen unless you compete in something and do so stupendously well that it becomes a collectors item. Like a Mark McGuier baseball.

Do what you like.

I say go KA.

I have access to a lot of different body kits. If you go to www.importfan.com and take a look....let me know if you like anything on that site and I can hook you up with a better price (on GTP and C-Wings products).

There are lots of those types of front ends, but that's a pretty expensive taste. Check out: http://www.importfan.com/series.asp?SeriesID=138&2=1122
