cylinder compression?
cylinder compression?
Hey guys!
This is an excellent forum you have here and i'm happy to be a part of it. I did a search here and on other forums and I just couldnt come up with what i was looking for. I am goint to test drive a 240 with an s13 black top in it. I want to do a thorough check and i wanted to know what the compression is in each cylinder? So i can run a compression check on the motor before dropping loot on it. Also going to be looking at body rust frame rust etc. Anything else i should be looking for guys to base my decision on?
thanx in advance for your help.

Look for around 150-170 PSI on the compression, should take no more than 5 strokes to achieve this or leakdown may be getting bad. The coupes seem to be good about rust, the hatchbacks with spoilers rust out the hatch, plan on getting another one. Check the hydraulics on the car for leaks, the brake and clutch masters are usually gone by 160k.
