drop in? or drop onto?
Do most of you that have done swaps put the motor into the car through the hood? or lower the car onto the motor?
|
Im trying to do mine by droppin the engine in the car..but its kinda hard when the engine is so god damn long.
<<RB20 swap |
yeah i put my sr20 into the chassis with transmition and downpipe
little problems |
I dropped the RB25DET in through the top, if I did it again, I would go from the bottom with the trans already bolted up. Much easier. RB is a ***** from the top.

Hyjynx, you and I talked about this before and I told you it would be easier to assemble the trans & motor and THEN install it into the car from the bottom. I have another swap coming up, RB25DET into an S14 and I will try it that way and tell you how it goes.
I didn't really have any trouble lowering it into the car, just gotta make sure you are as close to the firewall as possible. |
ok guys, ima try to do it again tomorrow and hopefully be succesful. Ganna be another fun day:D
