engine swaping pathfinder?!?!?

I'm a newbie to the forms soo he I go. my sister has a 90's pathfinder witch she will get rid of 200,000 miles on it. chances are my brother and I are gonna get it. its a 5 speed with the V6 in it. I've seen SR20 powred pathfinder truck but not sr20 powered truck. I was wonder if it's been done the motor right now is crap therse so many problems with it with all of thos miles we were thinking about an SR20 but we want to keep the 4wd is that possible?since its a suv is it wroth using a low toque motor? or should we go with a RB or Vq motor? any info would be helpful thanks!!

1) you couldn't use a sr from a silvia...wouldn't work.
2) you might be able to use it from a GTiR
3) Rb would be better for a truck
4) YOU CAN'T DO THIS W/O MAD AMOUNTS OF MONEY...well if you want to keep the 4wd. maybe if you made it rwd only...but i highly doubt you would be able to make it work for under 15g.

soooooo would it be inexpensive to just have it be RWD? or no matter what RWD or 4wd it's all expensive? cuz of everything it includes?

its the install and the modifications that will probably be the most expensive. The SR wouldnt be a good engine to drop in a path..i dont think it will be torquey enough. A RB25 AWD or a RB26 AWD would be ideal for it..a VQ isnt good kus its only RWD, unless theres a AWD VQ but i belive there isnt. The front clip would cost u from..3500-5000 depending which one u want. I dont think u would want to do it because the modifications and all teh custom parts u will need will run u way to much..im sure the swap would kost u..over 12000. Yea..im just throwing stuff out

i disagree with all of you

my pops has an SUV and it's RWD...i live in blizzard capital of the freakin US.....

number two...i doubt very highly that it would be oh-so-very-hard to get that engine and tranny in that engine bay.

remember what they said about the RB series......do ya?

i say do the research before you get discouraged. people have tried and done much more then stuff an SR into a truck. oh...and i've seen a guy with a SR up in his hardbody.....do a seacrh for SR truck or sumthin you'll find it if his server/;page is still up.

do the math on this .....i'd love to see it and even help if lived close to you.....

need any help just email me...
