Hi Throttle Pulley?

Hey club240 members whats up?

I have a 1963 Mg midget I've been autocrossing with a 12A rotary in it. A few months ago I was tuning the megasquirt on the 12a and was having tip in problems with the accel settings, I got too rich and fouled some plugs, 10 days out and $8 ea no one had any in stock. Burned up a starter same thing $180 10 days out special order. Well there was this blacktop SR20 S13 swap that just came in(I import front clips and swaps) and was sitting there on a pallet, and somehow it found it's way into the car:naughty: I'm having an issue with the gas pedal, it bottoms out before I get wide open throttle. One of those Hi-throttle pulleys would be perfect but they are only listed for the CA18DET, and S14 SR. WTF? Will either of these fit the S13 SR? It's a race car and I only need throttle no cruise or anything. Anyone have any experience with these?

ive heard of a lightweight pulley but never a high throttle, sounds like you cable is just to long, couldnt you shorten it enough to where it still idles right but also hits full throttle?

I found one on ebay, turns out the CA18DET one fits the SR as long as the cruise won't be used. It bolts on in a few minutes just hook the spring in the notch, twist and install. It reduces the pedal travel about 20% it's meant for drifting but just what I needed for my application and they're anodized in red or blue too.

i realize this is an ancient thread but i have something to add that might be of some use.

i saw the hi throttle pulley on egay and bought one just to try it out. it works great at wot but it cases the car to lunge when the gas it slightly pressed. so it's not a good idea for stop and go traffic.
i have a 65mm tb w/o any additional fuel management so that might have something to do with it because it did lean out a bit.
