rb20 swap

im sure this is a repeat question but i searched and didnt find anything, what is envolved in the rb20det swap? Ive read for the rb25 swap you gotta have a custom driveshaft and shave some of the hood but i was wondering if this was true with the rb20 swap aswell, any info would be much appreciated

From what I've heard, in order to fit the thing in, alls you need to do is use the skyline cross member and the tranny mounts will line up like a glove. Also no hood shaving will be needed. And on the engine wiring harness, alls i heard is to extend a few wires like MAF and stuff like that. Hope that helps. I don't know much but that's what I've heard.

You need to use the R32 crossmember, or buy custom mounts, with the crossmeber I had to cut some of the hood by the BOV and the intake elbow. Wiring s pretty simple, I have a wiring wirte up I can send you if you give me your E-mail address. The MAF and O2 sensor wires do need to be lengthend and you need to have a custom DP bought or made at an exhaust shop.

Id say its worth it..if i didnt have my front clip it would be tougher:confused:

Do the clip. Often the motorsets are incomplete, little odds and ends are missing, plus the mount for the side mount intercooler in on the clip, and you need it. Plus, the extra bolts that come on the clip are helpful
