rb20det simple question
 

alright, ive been checking around the forums since im new here, but i didnt find an answer to my question. its simple really, but i somehow get the feeling ill get told to "search" as i see in many replies. anyhow, a friend of mine is getting a 240sx and hes contemplating which swap to go with (actually, im contemplating it for him), a redtop sr20det or an rb20det. hes not on a too big of a budget, so i told him those 2 were his cheapest choices.

ive checked the engines specs and they are alright, same for the costs of the front clips, they seem to be around the same ($2k-$2.5k). this is wat im wondering though, for a fact, the skyline engine is alot more rare on this side of the planet (i live in puerto rico, which is very near Florida) than the sr20det. so i was wondering, how hard is it to get parts for both engiens, such as water pump, oil pump, fuel filter, oil filter, etc. i know for a fact some parts of other nissans can get interchanged, but i need to know how hard is it to find the essentials such as the pump and such.

i know the pros and cons of both engines too, which is why im seriously leaning towards the rb20, but the whole thing of finding parts that are important and wondering how much it would cost if something breaks down in the rb20, kinda worries me cuz of the rarity.
