redtop and blacktop
 
i'm new to the 240 world and this forum stuff. so i was just wondering what is the difference between a black top sr20det and a red top sr20det? if yall know specific details let me know. i'd really appreciate it. thanks

Well..They are basically the same, the ECU is a lil differnt and supposedly the fuel path or something like that is differnt in the black top. There isnt any HP gain or torque gain from what i know.

That link isn't entirely true. The '94 blacktop was the same as redtops, only the ecu was given a different name no changes though. In '96 they got the remapped ecu, different gauge cluster, slightly different sensors, different oil filler cap.....
