S13.5 building with LS6 Vette engine

Photos

A while ago I posted I was building a small block Chevy V8 and I got a lot of its too heavy and it wont fit feedback. Well the engine and Trans are in. and the Engine weighs approx 430LBS complete. And it’s fitting fine. It should be running next week and off to the body shop to get the S15 conversion, handles shaved, and 50mm quarters installed.

1991 Nissan 240SX
34,000 mile LS6 5.7litre V8 Pull with mods
Th350 transmission, shift kit, 2800 stall
Custom driveshaft
Stainless steel pipes with Dual Borla 3.5 inch exhaust
Skyline r34 rear, reinforced sub frame, and spun axels
Flashed ECU
Fuel Cell
Custom fiberglass gauges cluster with Autometer ultralite II gauges
KYB AGX Shocks
Tein Springs
Camber bars, toe rods, traction rods, 1.5 inch sway bars, energy suspension bushings.

Its coming slow but its coming. Should dyno at about 415 horses with a lot of torque. Plans to build over 550 horses and then add a supercharger.

YES! Someone who has joined the madness!

+1 For LS6

Is the TH350 tranny better than the T56?

wow.

you'll probaly get flammed for putting a chey engine in a nissan but who cares.

i read somewhere tthat the ls1 w/ tranny weigh 125lbs or so less than the ka and tranny.

the weight to power ratio alone is impresive enough.

The T56 Question the t56 is a 6 speed manual, a very good trans, one of the best out there. Its made by Borg Warner. I wanted to go with an auto trans tho. Im not a drifter, I like the race, and the way my TH350 is built its gonna lauch this car, and slam gears. Its all a matter of preference. Most LSX motors are paired with a t56 or 4l60E which is the computer controled version of a 700R4 which would never fit without dash and bellhousing mods. This car has enough mods as it is. More photos coming soon.

But yeah I dunno I used to have a twin turbo civic and it got boring building up the 4 banger. That and it cost just as much to get the the same horsepower with less torque then do a swap like this. That and this is just more custom, not too many people have it.
