Has anyone gotten their 240s up to 400HP and if so how did you do it....Which swap was used and what upgrades on top of the swap did you use...and also has any successful completed a RB26DETT swap with both turbo still in tact

um

ka..sr..rb..ca..vq..all of them have been 400 hp..it all depends what u want to do with the car and how much you want to spend...

seriously this is such a vague question, just do research on the motors and make a decision based on your needs, then come back with more specific questions

Im one for playing insurance cards and making sure my motors last... so here goes:
ARP head studs
Rocker arm stoppers
Cams
Valve springs, retainers and valves
Metal head gasket
Pistons, rods and rings (dont forget piston pin)
Main bearings (I do this just to be on the safe side and since I have the motor all apart, why not?)
Injectors
Fuel pump
ECU tune or stand alone (I prefer stand alone at that hp rating personally)
Turbo manifold
and last, but not least, GT30 turbo or something equivalent to help yield 400 bhp.

Dont forget a pretty good clutch that will be within torque specs of what you're looking to produce out of that SR.

As for RB26 or even 2JZ, they will fit, not that much room left over, but they will fit. I've done an RB26 swap into an S13, front heavy, but guaranteed to make you shart your pants.

sr bottomend is good till 500

so 400 you should be ok with a good tune if you dont have the money

but like nismo knight (i duno ur real name) said if your gonna do it right and have a reliable car then you should go head and build it up..patience is a virtue when it comes to building motors..

That is very true i did the sr swap and have just been adding parts as i go but now its gettin to the point where the motor will be pulled apart. if all you care about it gettin your 400hp then save and do it all at once. but with power like that dont forget that you will still need stoping power and you will need to address the cars handling ability.

Names Sunny LOL I thought I told u before... oh well LOL

And Jae is right, you can build the worlds most powerful motor, but make sure you got the right bite to stop the car and a decent suspension to keep the car planted.
